Water for Trees of Glory!

                                                                     Sweet Muri

For those of you familar with my blog, I sponsor a child, Muri, through Children's Hope Chest at Trees of Glory.  This is Trees of Glory care-point in Ethiopia, currently serving 100 children with no running water!

Fundraising is going on now to raise money to drill a well.  Once the well has been drilled at Trees of Glory, the care-point expects to be able to serve 200-300 children - providing food, clean water, clothing, medical care, education and Christian discipleship in a safe, loving environment!

Trees of Glory is located 2 hours north of Addis  in a rural village where the only access to water is a muddy river or a spigot in the village where water jugs are filled each morning and carried to the care-point on the backs of donkeys. With your help, we can provide fresh clean water for the care-point and expand our services to care for 200-300 children!

Presently, water is transported in yellow jugs to the care-point each morning on the backs of donkeys. 100 children plus the staff use the water for drinking, cooking and for washing hands.

This is a few of the children at Tree's of Glory.  Once the well has been drilled and is in working order, many more children will be able to be served.  I can't tell you what a difference being a sponsor has made in my life.

I know there are so many worthy causes in "blog world".  Their generosity seems endless.  Please consider helping by donating and prayer.   There are many different ways to generate donations.  Garage sales, collecting donations from your Sunday school  class, church group or civic organization.  Taking donations for water bottles at you kids sporting events or even at Fourth of July celebrations.  Going a week without Starbucks or drive thru drinks and sending in the amount you would normally spend.  No amount is too small.

You can donate directly to the well project by making a tax deductible donation to Children's Hopechest.

                                    To God be the glory.
